The Istanbul meeting was postponed until after Eid

Anatolia news agency reported that the Turkish peace summit on Afghanistan will be held after Eid

According to the news agency, the Turkish peace summit on Afghanistan has been postponed until after Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, following consultations with the United Nations, Qatar and the United States.

“We do not need to hurry after the US decision to leave Afghanistan,” the report quoted the Turkish foreign minister as saying. “The postponement of the conference will be useful in terms of the formation of delegations and the preparation process.”
