Four soldiers were killed and wounded in a Taliban attack on a security checkpoint in Ghazni

Local sources in Ghazni report that four security forces were killed and wounded as a result of a Taliban attack on a checkpoint.

Abduljameh Jameh; A member of the Ghazni Provincial Council said that the checkpoint was located in the village of Arezoo in the province, which had been under siege by the Taliban for a month.

Mr. Jameh said that the reason for the fall of the checkpoint was the lack of equipment and poor management. He said that two members of the checkpoint were killed in the Taliban attack on the checkpoint, two others were wounded and 21 others were captured by the group.

Mr Jameh also said that fighting was still going on at security checkpoints between the Taliban and the government in the districts of the province.
