106 Taliban fighters were killed in several districts of Helmand province

The Ministry of Defense announced in a statement that 106 Taliban fighters were killed in several districts of Helmand province.

The ministry said in a statement issued today (Tuesday, May 4) that the Taliban fighters had been killed as a result of air defense operations in Nahrsiraj, Nawa, Garmsir and Lashkar Gah districts.

The statement added that eight commanders of the group were also killed and 37 others were wounded in the operation.

According to the statement, during this operations, a large amount of weapons and ammunition of this group fell into the hands of the army forces and several of their hideouts were destroyed.

Helmand districts have witnessed heavy fighting between the army and the Taliban in recent months.
