Taliban fighters have seized the command building of Baraka district in Baghlan province

Security sources in Baghlan say that Taliban fighters stormed the Baraka district.
Javed Besharat; Baghlan police spokesman confirmed the fall of the district to Taliban fighters and said that last night the group’s fighters clashed with security forces to seize the district.
Mr Besharat added that no militants were injured in the clash, but that Taliban fighters were seriously injured.
According to Mr. Besharat, the military forces have left the district tactically after the clash and the district police headquarters has fallen to the Taliban.
He added that equipment and ammunition available in the district had also fallen to the Taliban.
Baghlan is one of the northern provinces of the country where the Taliban have recently increased their attacks in the districts of the province, so that yesterday in an attack by the fighters of this group on a security checkpoint in this province, 9 soldiers were killed.
