Three days of Eid al-Fitr were declared ceasefire by the Taliban

Taliban spokesman said the group’s leader had declared a ceasefire at three-days of Eid.

Naeem Wardak; Taliban spokesman wrote on his Twitter account today (Monday, May 10) that Taliban fighters have been ordered to stop their attacks on government forces from the first day of Eid until the third day of Eid.

According to him, the group’s fighters have also been instructed to defend themselves and their areas if government forces attack the group’s fighters.

Wardak wrote that Taliban fighters should not travel to government-controlled areas and that government affiliates are also not allowed to enter Taliban-held areas.
