Toronto cemetery theft wave: More than 300 cases in past few months

Toronto police in Canada announced that in the past few months, more than 300 cases of theft have been recorded from various tombs and cemeteries in the city.

According to police, thieves have managed to steal about 6,600 valuable items by impersonating and introducing themselves as family members of the deceased, including jewelry, family mementos and precious vases.

Despite the scale of these thefts, only two people have been arrested in connection with these cases.

Toronto police announced that these thefts have caused not only material damage, but also severe emotional damage to the grieving families.
