Protesters in Faryab prevented the new governor from entering the province

Dozens of Faryab citizens rallied to protest the appointment of a new governor and closed the province’s gates to the new governor.

Aq Muhammad Noori; A member of the Faryab Provincial Council says that as a result of a protest rally by Faryab citizens against the appointment of a new governor, the plane carrying the new governor has returned to Kabul without landing at Faryab Airport.

According to Mr. Noori, the protesters said that they did not accept the new governor.
