101 Taliban members have been killed and wounded in the past 24 hours

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said in a statement that 101 Taliban fighters had been killed and wounded in the past 24 hours.

The ministry said in a statement issued today (Monday, May 17) that 65 Taliban fighters had been killed and 36 others wounded in operations by defense and security forces in Kandahar, Baghlan, Balkh and Helmand provinces.

According to the statement, a large amount of weapons and ammunition of this group were also destroyed in these operations and 24 mines planted by the fighters of this group in different parts of the country were neutralized.

The Ministry of National Defense announced yesterday that security, defense and counter-terrorism operations have been launched by security and defense forces in parts of Helmand province.
