19 Taliban fighters, including two district governors, were killed in Faryab
The 209th Shaheen Corps says 19 Taliban fighters, including two district governors of this group, were killed in an airstrike in Faryab.
The statement said that 19 members of the group were killed on Monday evening (May 17th) as a result of an air strike on a key Taliban base in the Khaja Namusi area of Pashtun Kot district in Faryab.
The newsletter states that in this air attack, Zaynullah, known as Khalid; Taliban nominee district governor for Almar and Noorulhaq; The group’s governor for Bala Murghab were also killed.
According to the newsletter, 15 fighters of this group were wounded in this attack and 18 vehicles of this group were also destroyed.
