US lawmakers have pledged to transfer Afghan translators

“We cannot allow Kabul to become another Saigon,” said Mike McCall, a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Mr McCall said he feared the Taliban would kill the translators.
He said the translators should be transferred to a third country such as Kuwait, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates until their applications are processed and they obtain a visa.
Meanwhile, Afghan translators recently expressed concern about the threats posed to them after the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.
