Laghman governor has jailed 100 people, including the deputy head of national security, for negligence.

Officials in Laghman province say that the deputy director of national security and 100 military officials of the province have been imprisoned on charges of negligence on the part of the governor.
According to sources in Laghman, fighting between security forces and Taliban fighters has been going on in different parts of the province for several days now.
Golzad Sangarwal; A member of the Laghman provincial council said that as a result of the clashes, seven security checkpoints in Alingar district of the province fell to Taliban fighters yesterday.
According to Mr. Sangarwal, several security forces were captured by the Taliban in the district during the clashes.
He added that Taliban fighters were also injured in the clashes, but did not provide exact figures.
