Fire in Faryab killed 1 person and injured 4 other

Security sources in Faryab reported a fire in Qaisar district of the province.

Karim Yoresh; Faryab police spokesman said that this morning, a fire broke out inside a market in Qaisar district when fuel was unloaded from a tanker and spread to nearby shops.

Mr. Yoresh added that one person was killed, four others were injured and eight shops and 12 motorcycles were burnt in the incident.

According to him, the fire was contained by the police with the cooperation of the local people.

According to locals, the fire was caused by the negligence of the tanker driver and he escaped during the fire.
