128 Taliban fighters were killed in different parts of the country.

The Ministry of Defense says that about 128 Taliban fighters have been killed and 70 others wounded in various provinces of the country.

The Taliban fighters were killed during operations by defense and security forces in Kandahar, Laghman, Badghis, Herat, Sar-e-Pul, Faryab, Balkh, Baghlan, Badakhshan and Nangarhar provinces, the ministry said in a statement.

The statement added that during these operations, 20 minefields that were moved to target civilians and security forces in different parts of the country were discovered and defused, and a large amount of weapons and ammunition of this group were also destroyed.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
