The second-in-command of the Ghor police joined the Taliban

Ghor security sources report that the second police chief of the province has joined the Taliban.

NekMuhammad Nazari; The security chief of Ghor police says that Hayatullah Adel, the second commander of Firozkoh city, left the city last night with 4 of his companions under the pretext of operations against the Taliban and joined the Taliban with a tank, a Ranger vehicle and all equipment.

Meanwhile, Abdul Zahir Faizzadah; The governor of Ghor says that four of the commander’s companions clashed with the group’s fighters when they learned that he was involved with the Taliban, as a result of which two of them were captured and two others managed to escape.

The Taliban have not yet commented.

Hayatullah Adel is the brother of a journalist who was killed by unknown gunmen in the city of Firuzkuh about a year ago, and about two months later, unknown assailants attacked his house and killed three members of his family.
