The Executive Director of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, Mohammad Wali Amini, said: “Eighty percent of the products displayed at the exhibition were sold, and agreements worth millions of dollars were signed with Uzbek and other companies. The exhibition delivered positive and beneficial results.”
Participants described the exhibition as an important opportunity to expand Afghanistan’s trade relations, saying they signed agreements not only with Uzbek traders but also with traders from other countries.
Exhibitor Ahmad Qasim said: “This is a great opportunity to export Afghan products to other countries.”
Another exhibitor, Imran Popal, said: “Dried fruits, carpets, precious stones, and handicrafts were brought to this exhibition.”
Some Afghan traders also called on the Islamic Emirate to expand such opportunities so that Afghan products can be better introduced to international markets.
Deputy head of the Afghanistan Carpet Association, Ghulam Qadir Sakhizada, said: “If such exhibitions are held in other countries as well, both the economy and industry will grow.”
At the exhibition, more than 60 booths displayed a wide range of Afghan products, including fresh fruits, precious stones, carpets, and other agricultural and industrial goods.
The exhibition was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for four days and attracted the attention of visitors and traders from various countries.
