Six members of the al-Qaeda network were killed in Helmand

The 215th Maiwand Corps says six al-Qaeda members were killed in an airstrike in Helmand province.
Al-Qaeda fighters were killed yesterday in an airstrike by ANA forces on a Taliban hideout in Helmand’s Nawa district, the statement said.
The members of the al-Qaeda network were residents of Pakistan’s Punjab and Waziristan provinces, the statement added.
According to statement, Mullah Shafiq, a Taliban commander and eight members of the group were also killed in the operation.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
