Qaisar district police command fell to the Taliban

Local sources in Faryab report the fall of the Qaisare district police headquarters to the Taliban.

Fazl al-Haq Mohammadi; A member of the Faryab provincial council said that last night Taliban fighters attacked the Qaisar district center of the province from several directions.

Mr Mohammadi added that the Taliban had taken control of the district police headquarters as a result of the attack, and that there had been clashes between Taliban fighters and security forces.

According to him, 10 security forces were killed and 35 others were wounded in the clashes.
