Protests in Badakhshan; Protesters set fire to government documents

Officials in Badakhshan say residents of Feyzabad city staged protests in protest of rising insecurity as well as a lack of electricity and water.
NikMuhammad Nazari, Spokesman for the governor of Badakhshan said the protesters clashed with security forces and attacked the provincial building without saying their demands, threw stones and attacked at security forces.
“Angry demonstrators attacked soldiers and staff of the provincial office with stones and sticks against the civil principles of the march and set fire to people’s petitions and a number of other government documents in the provincial pavilions,” Mr Nazari said.
However, the protesters claim that the bodyguards of the governor fired on them.
Badakhshan health officials say three people have been killed and 24 others injured in this incidint.
