The location of Zare district of Balkh province has changed

The 209th Shaheen Corps announces the change of position of Zare district of Balkh province.

According to announcement, at 08:00 am today, the facilities and manpower of the district and the defense and security forces stationed there have been relocated to the villages of “Tashelken and Omkai”, which are located at the border between Zare and Keshendei districts.

But local sources in Zare district say the district has fallen to the Taliban.

According to them, all security forces were evacuated from the center of Zare district last night by helicopters.

Meanwhile, the Taliban group has issued a statement confirming the fall of the district to the group’s fighters.
