OCHA: Switzerland contributes $1.95 million to Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that Switzerland has contributed $1.95 million, equivalent to 1.5 million Swiss francs, to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.

OCHA said in a press release on Thursday (July 26, 2021) that the contribution has been allocated to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund and will be used to support vulnerable and needy people in the country.

The organization, while appreciating Switzerland’s support, emphasized that humanitarian assistance restores hope to people whose lives have been affected by crises and sudden shocks.

OCHA also added: “Together, we are investing in humanity.”
