Unidentified gunmen killed three members of a family in Herat

The Interior Ministry reports that three members of a family were killed in a shooting by gunmen in Herat.

Ahmad Zia Zia, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, said that unidentified gunmen shot on member of a family last night in Nawabad village of Injil district of Herat province.

Mr. Zia added that 11 people, including children and women, were injured in the incident, adding that the victims of the incident were taken to hospital.

Meanwhile, Herat police spokesman Abdul Ahad Valizadeh confirmed the incident and said that three people had been killed in the incident, and that police were investigating the motive and identifying the perpetrators.
