Army forces destroyed a vehicle loaded with explosives in Balkh before reaching the target

Security officials in Balkh say a car loaded with explosives was destroyed by police before reaching the target.

Adel Shah Adel, Spokesman for the Balkh police, said that in the middle of the last night, Taliban fighters used a car loaded with explosives to attack the police headquarters in Dolatabad district of the province.

Mr Adel added that the vehicle had been identified 50 meters from the police headquarters and had been destroyed by a rocket launcher.

According to Mr. Adel, the houses were damaged in this incident, but there were no casualties.
