Four local forces killed during a Taliban attack in Daikundi

Security sources in Daikundi say four local forces have been killed in a Taliban attack in the Patu district of the province.

Daikundi police security chief Naqibullah Malistani said Taliban fighters attacked the village of Sartgab in Pato district yesterday and the attack continued until this morning.

Mr Malestani added that four local forces had been killed and three others wounded in the clashes.

Taliban fighters have also seized the checkpoints.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
