The director of counter-terrorism of Kapisa was killed

Security officials in Kapisa say the counter-terrorism director of the province’s second Police Station has been killed.

Kapisa police spokesman Shaqayeq Shooresh said a counter-terrorism commander of second Police Station of the province was shot dead by Taliban insurgents in the capital, Kapisa, on Saturday night.

Mr. Shooresh named the police officer as Abdul Nasir Golbahari, adding that he had been targeted with a sniper while checking the checkpoints and had died after being taken to hospital.
