The Ministry of National Defense reports that 28 Taliban fighters, including three prominent members of the group, were killed in Helmand.

Yesterday, defense and security forces, backed by the air force, targeted Taliban fighters in the Nahrsaraj district of Helmand province, killing 28 Taliban fighters, including three prominent commanders, Musa Kalim, Mubashir and Haji Seraji, the commander of the group’s Red Squad.

The statement added that 26 other fighters of this group, including one of their commanders named Yaser, were wounded in the operation.

According to the announcement, 7 vehicles, 6 motorcycles, 4 hideouts and some weapons and ammunition of this group were also destroyed in this operation.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
