Badakhshan Governor: Foreign Intelligence Agencies Seek to Divide Afghans

The governor of Badakhshan says foreign intelligence agencies are attempting to create divisions among Muslims and the people of Afghanistan by fueling disagreements.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony for 150 Islamic Emirate personnel in Faizabad, Rahmatullah Najib emphasized the importance of maintaining unity and solidarity among the people, describing efforts to overthrow the Islamic Emirate as an unreasonable approach.

Rahmatullah Najib, Governor of Badakhshan, said: “Those intelligence agencies are tasked with dividing Muslims. They make such statements to undermine the unity of the Afghan people.”

In another part of his remarks, the Badakhshan governor referred to individuals who previously worked alongside US forces, saying that efforts to overthrow the Islamic Emirate were not a reasonable solution.

Rahmatullah Najib added: “Those who occasionally raise slogans from abroad should know that their intentions and beliefs are undoubtedly wrong. They say they will free Afghanistan from Taliban and Islamic Emirate rule. This is not a reasonable struggle. The real struggle is to free Afghanistan from corruption.”

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Omar-e-Sales Division in Badakhshan said that 150 Islamic Emirate personnel had received graduation certificates after completing a three-month military training program.

Noorullah Nazari, Spokesperson for the Omar-e-Sales Division in Badakhshan, said: “This is the eighth round of training, with 150 personnel graduating. They can now apply the military knowledge they have gained in their communities and places of duty.”

Najib also rejected ethnic discrimination and the promotion of ethnic divisions, saying that Afghanistan’s ethnic diversity and solidarity among its communities contribute to the country’s beauty.
