A roadside bomb blast in Kandahar has killed five civilians

Security sources in Kandahar reported that 5 civilians were killed as a result of a roadside bomb blast in the province.

Kandahar police say the incident was caused by a passenger car colliding with a roadside mine in the Maiwand district of the province.

Kandahar police say five civilians were killed and 20 others, including women and children, were injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, some sources confirmed the incident and said that the passenger car was traveling from Kabul to Helmand.

According to them, the injured were taken to hospital.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
