The process of storing the water of Shah and Bride dam has begun

The National Directorate of Water Affairs announces the start of water storing for Shah and Bride dam in Shakardara district of Kabul.
The department says in a newsletter that the Shah and Bride Dam is one of the major projects of the National Water Regulatory Authority, located in the Shakdara district of Kabul.
According to the newsletter, Shah and Bride dam has the ability to generate 1.2 megawatts of electricity, irrigate 2,700 hectares of land, regulate 33 million cubic meters of water annually and store 9 million cubic meters of water.
The National Water Regulatory Authority said that the construction of this dam has been completed and its water intake has started today, which will be put into operation in the near future.
