An explosion in Jalalabad killed and injured five people

The Nangarhar governor’s office reported that 5 civilians were killed and wounded as a result of an explosion in the city of Jalalabad.

According to a newsletter from the Nangarhar governor’s office, a car belonging to a charity was targeted by a mine this morning in the fifth district of Jalalabad.

The blast did not injure staff of the charity, but one tricycle driver was killed and four others were injured, including two women and a child.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
