Kaldar district of Balkh province was cleared of Taliban

Balkh Police Command announces the clearing of Kaldar district of the province from Taliban fighters.
According to the Balkh Police Command, the Taliban in Kaldar district of Balkh province, in collusion with the Taliban in Qala-e-Zal district of Kunduz province, launched their offensive on the central core of Kaldar district and the supply route of that district.
The district was cleared of Taliban fighters with the arrival of security and defense forces led by Brigadier General Ghulam Daud Tarakhel, Balkh provincial police chief and local forces led by Atta Mohammad Noor, leader of the Jamiat-e-Islami party.
According to the newsletter, the Taliban fled the district with casualties.
