344 Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in nine provinces

The Ministry of National Defense reports that 344 Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in clashes in different parts of the country.

The ministry said in a statement that 228 Taliban fighters had been killed and 116 wounded in attacks by defense and security forces in the past 24 hours.

The Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in Logar, Paktika, Kandahar, Herat, Badghis, Farah, Balkh, Helmand and Kapisa provinces, according to the ministry.

The statement added that as a result of these operations, 13 mines were discovered and defused by the security forces, and a large number of ammunition and weapons of this group were also destroyed.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
