Interior Ministry: We recaptured about 14 districts

The Interior Ministry says 10 to 14 districts have been re-administered by the military.

Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said that about 14 districts that had been taken over by the Taliban had been recaptured by security forces and that the forces were constantly present in all parts of the country.

But he says the centers in some districts have been temporarily relocated so as not to harm military forces.

Mr. Arian also said that the Taliban had fled the area and carried out sabotage and bombings in areas where they were present.

But the Taliban have denied the allegations in a statement.
