Nearly a thousand security forces withdrew from Badakhshan to Tajikistan

Nearly 1,000 security forces have retreated to Badakhshan after several districts in Badakhshan fell, according to the Khawar News Agency.
According to the Khawar News Agency, 1,037 troops retreated to Tajikistan by crossing the border after fall of Khawan, Sheki, Nasi, Maimi, Sheghnan and Ishkashim districts.
But a member of the Badakhshan Provincial Council says the number of troops has been less than a few hundred.
Confirming the fall of these districts, the provincial council member said that most of these districts had been captured by the Taliban without any clashes.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that hundreds of new troops had been sent to Badakhshan to retake the districts.
