16 Taliban fighters were killed in Samangan

The Ministry of National Defense announced in a newsletter that 16 Taliban fighters were killed in Samangan.

The ministry said in a statement that 16 Taliban fighters were killed last night in air strikes in Hazrat Sultan district of Samangan province.

According to the newsletter, some of the group’s weapons, ammunition and equipment were also destroyed in the attacks.

The Taliban have not commented.
