New commandos arrived in Badghis

The Ministry of Defense says that new commandos have arrived in Badghis province to contain the fighting.

The ministry said in a statement that a number of new commandos arrived in Qala-e-Naw, the capital of Badghis province, last night.

The statement added that with the arrival of the commandos, the operations of the defense and security forces in the province have intensified and the security situation in the city is improving and will soon be completely cleared.

According to some sources, all the districts of Badghis province fell into the hands of Taliban fighters yesterday.
