A Taliban delegation traveled to Turkmenistan

The Taliban announced the visit of a delegation led by Abbas Stanekzai to Turkmenistan.

Mohammad Naeem, a spokesman for the Taliban in Qatar, wrote on his Twitter page that a high-ranking delegation led by Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai had traveled to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

Mohammad Naeem added that the trip was made at the official invitation of Turkmenistan.

Taliban spokesman said the group’s delegation met with the Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister today to discuss relevant political, economic and security issues.

Meanwhile, a delegation from the group recently traveled to Moscow, where they met with Zamir Kabulov, the Russian president’s special envoy for Afghanistan.
