President Ghani went to Herat this morning

The Presidential Palace announced that President Ghani had traveled to Herat to inspect the general security situation in the province.

According to the statement, the President met with representatives of the National Assembly and the Herat Provincial Council and Mohammad Ismail Khan, a jihadist figure.

During his meeting with Mohammad Ismail Khan in the 207th Zafar Corps, the President discussed the current situation in Herat and said that everyone should stand in line to support the security and defense forces.

Mr. Ghani also met with the representatives of the National Assembly and the Herat Provincial Council and said that Herat is a priority for us and that good investments have been made in this province and more measures are being taken to improve it.

Representatives of provincial and national councils also expressed their support for the security and defense forces and the republican system, and said that popular uprisings should be supported within the framework of the security and defense organs. They have also declared their full readiness to fight the enemy.
