The Taliban blew up a car full of explosives in Farah province last night

Local officials in Farah province say a security force killed and two others were injured when a car bomb exploded by the Taliban.

Farah Governor Taj Mohammad Jahed said the Taliban launched a large-scale offensive in the Anardara district center after the blast, killing one security guard and wounding two others.

He claims that a large number of Taliban were also killed in the clashes and security forces’ operations.

Local officials in Farah province say the security situation in the district has returned to normal and the Taliban attack on the district center has been repulsed.
