Five soldiers killed in Taliban attack in Faryab province
Five security guards were killed in an armed attack by Taliban militants on a military post in Faryab province in the north of Afghanistan.
Faryab Governor Naqibullah Faik said in a statement to the press that a clash broke out after the militants attacked the military post in Faryab’s Hoja Sebzposh district.
Stating that 5 security guards died in the conflict and a few soldiers were captured by the Taliban, Faik said that the Taliban also suffered heavy casualties in the conflict.
