Unidentified gunmen assassinate head of Maidan Wardak Rural Development Department and three others in Kabul

The head of the Maidan Wardak Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department and three others were assassinated by gunmen in Kabul.

Kabul police confirmed the incident and said that the incident took place at 9:20 today (Tuesday, February 9) in the fifth district of Bagh-e-Dawood in Kabul.

Kabul police spokesman Ferdows Faramarz said the men, identified as Mohammad Habib, Faridullah, Riyadh Ahmad and Baryali, had been shot dead by unknown gunmen.

He added that the killers fled the scene after the incident.

No one or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
