The death toll in yesterday’s blast in Kabul rose to four

Kabul police announced the increase of casualties in yesterday’s explosion in the fourth district of Kabul city.

Ferdows Faramarz; A Kabul police spokesman said today (Monday, March 25) that the dead included a child and three police officers.

The blast took place yesterday at the Baraki intersection in the fourth district of Kabul at 4:22 pm, which Kabul police said was caused by a magnetic mine.

Mr. Faramarz said yesterday that three people were killed and five others were injured in the blast, including a child.

Pictures of the blast that were posted on social media provoked a lot of reactions, including one of the videos showing two young children crying to their injured mother who was lying on the side of the road: “Mother, get up!”

Users on Twitter and Facebook launched the “#mother-get-up” hashtag to sympathize with the victims of the blast and sue the children.

The government and most users of social media blame the Taliban for the incident.
