Kamal Khan Dam was officially inaugurated by President Ashraf Ghani

Kamal Khan Dam was officially inaugurated today (Wednesday, March 24) by President Ghani and his deputies at Nemrooz province.
Khan muhammad takal; the head of the National Water Regulatory Authority at the opening of the dam, reminded of its importance, saying that the dam would irrigate more than 184,000 hectares of land and produce more than 9 megawatts of electricity.
Mr. Takel also said that the dam was built at a cost of $ 111 million, with a height of 16 meters and a water storage capacity of 52 million cubic meters.
Kamal Khan Dam, which originates from the mountains of Afghanistan, was built along the Helmand River.
