The construction work of the sprinkler dam is 85% complete

Wahid Qitali; The governor of Herat says that the construction of the Pashdan dam in Herat province has been completed by 85% and with the opening of this dam, about 18,000 hectares of irrigation land and two megawatts of electricity will be produced.

The construction of Pashdan Dam started in 2011 and was supposed to be operational in at least three years, but in recent years, due to various reasons, its construction process was stopped many times or proceeded slowly.

The Pashdan dam has a storage capacity of 45 million cubic meters of water, two megawatts of electricity and 13,000 hectares of agricultural land, and is of great importance to the environment of Herat.
