The head of the police command in the Sangin district of Helmand was killed

Security sources in Helmand province say Abdul Mohammad Sarwari; The head of the Sangin district police command was killed in clashes with the Taliban.

A spokesman for the Helmand Police Command said that the clash took place on the Kabul-Herat highway in Sangin district last night (Friday, March 26).

He said a number of security forces were also killed and wounded in the clashes, but did not provide exact figures.

Helmand is one of the southern provinces where the Taliban are active in most parts of the province.
