23 Taliban fighters were killed in Balkh and Kandahar

In two separate joint clearing operations by the National Defense Forces in Balkh and Kandahar, 23 Taliban fighters were killed.
A special commando unit, backed by the air force, targeted a Taliban base in the village of Qala-e-Mir Ahmad in the Chahar Bolk district of Balkh province yesterday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense.
As a result of this operation, 10 Taliban fighters were killed, 26 were arrested, and 4 others were wounded.
The statement also said that 13 Taliban fighters were killed in Kandahar.
According to yesterday’s announcement, in continuation of the joint clearing operation of the National Defense and Security Forces with the support of the Air Force in the Arghandab district of Kandahar province; Thirteen Taliban fighters were killed and large quantities of enemy weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
In this operation, large areas of Qala – Chah village in Arghandab district were cleared of Taliban and 120 landmines were discovered and neutralized.
The Taliban have said nothing about this.
