26 Taliban fighters, including three senior members of the group, were killed in Faryab

The Ministry of National Defense announced in a newsletter that 26 Taliban fighters, including three senior members of the group, had been killed in Faryab.

Last night, the air force targeted a Taliban rally in the village of Sarchakan in Garziwan district of Faryab province, the statement said.

According to the newsletter, 26 Taliban fighters, including three senior members of the group, Qari Mujibur Rehman Arab, Mullah Ataullah, commander of the Red Army, and Qari Shekib, were killed and 33 others were wounded in the operation.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
