A 16-year-old girl was killed by the Taliban in Jawzjan

Jawzjan governor’s office reports that a 16-year-old girl was killed in Darzab district of the province.
In a statement issued by the Jawzjan governor’s office today (Tuesday, April 6), the girl was named Ay-mamah.
The statement quoted residents of Qoshtipe district as saying that the Taliban had taken the 16-year-old girl and her family away two and a half months ago and brutally killed her two days ago after raping her.
According to the statement, the Taliban have not yet handed over the Ay-mama’s body to his relatives.
Residents of the district called on the Taliban to release Ay-mama’s parents and hand over hir body, and called on the local and central government to cooperate.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
Jawzjan is one of the northern provinces where Taliban fighters are active.
