A senior employee of the Statistics Office was assassinated in Kabul

Kabul police report the assassination of the head of the administrative services of the National Statistics Office by unknown gunmen.

Ferdows Faramarz; Kabul police spokesman named Ismail as the victim, saying that the incident took place this morning (Wednesday, April 7) in Paghman Qala-e-Wazir district.

Mr Faramarz added that the killers had fled the scene after the assassination and said the case was being investigated.

No one or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
