An important Taliban member was arrested in Samangan

The 209th Shaheen Corps announced in a newsletter the arrest of a key Taliban member and the killing of six members of the group in Samangan.

The report states that yesterday in a joint operation of the defense and security forces of Samangan province, in the villages of “Poshtband, Tatar, Chal and Almeh” of Khorramsarbagh district; Six Taliban fighters were killed, four wounded and Qari Shafi’i, a key Taliban figure, captured in clashes with Taliban fighters.
