Seven soldiers were killed in a Taliban attack in Balkh

Local sources in Balkh report that seven army soldiers were killed and three others were wounded in a Taliban attack on an army security base in the Chamtal district of the province.

According to them, the Taliban attacked a security forces base in Sar-e-Asiab area of ​​Chamtal district last night from several directions.

They said five army soldiers were also captured by the Taliban during the incident.

Meanwhile, Zabihullah Mujahid; Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack, saying 11 soldiers had been killed and five captured.
